Vancouver whatuppp

February 04, 2010

Hi everyone!

So, tomorrow it's the official start of the Olympic games. That means that the IOC owns all the athletes for a month, which again means I'm not gonna be posting photos or anything on this page.

This is why I need to give you a load down. X-Games went off in Aspen last week. It was such a fun event! It's definitely a competition you wanna go watch! I couldn't put down a run in the qualies, but I still enjoyed every second of it.

Here's a photo from after my first run.

Right now I'm back in Salt Lake City, having a pre camp with the Norwegian Team. We've had some great days up in the Park City pipe, and I got a new trick down, which makes it all much more fun!

We're headed back to Colorado for a couple nights before we fly out from Denver and to Vancouver the 9th! I can wait to get to experience everything around the Olympics knowing that I'm a part of it all. I'm looking forward to some great weeks with family and friends in one of my favorite cities in the world.

Wish me luck. Let's do this!!!!!!!

Olympics!

January 24, 2010

Hi,

I just have to make a quick post about this. I got the word today, and I will be competing at the Olympics in Vancouver next month. I'm SO happy the Olympic committee decided to send Lisa, Kjersti and me to represent Norway in the pipe.

Also, Freddy, Tore, Roger and Staale got a spot on the pipe team. We also Have three riders in for boardercross. Helene, Stian and Joachim. That makes us a team of 10, which is amazing!! Big ups to Stian that got injured really bad last season, and managed to find his way back to the top!

We'll see you in Vancouver!!!!!!

Back to CO

January 20, 2010

Hey!

So, I've been in Laax, Switzerland for a week. I went home Sunday the 17th, and spent two nights at home. I had basically one day there. I hung out with my parents, and did an interview for national TV and an interview for the news papers. I also went to see my grandparents. It was really nice to get to stop by my house.

Here's a photo from one of the days in Laax. Pretty amazing, huh?

I went back to Colorado yesterday, and I'm posted up in Frisco until Xgames in Aspen next week. I'm really exited to ride here for a while and get some new tricks going. It's always nice to be back in the states for shedding. A lot of good friends, great weather, great parks and pipes.

I'll keep you posted on Xgames when it's getting closer, and also everything that has to do with the Olympics.

Hey!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! I had a wonderful holiday at home. It was so nice to get to see my family and friends. Christmas really makes me appreciate everyone in my life. Check out how nice our Christmas setup at my cabin was!

Now THAT is Christmas! on Twitpic

I got to Kreischberg, Austria last night with the Norwegian Team. I'm gonna be here until Friday to do my last World Cup in a looong time. The Burton European Open is next, and I'm SO SO SO excited to go there and hang out with the Burton Team and crew! The BEO is one of my favorite events, and it's always great to go to Laax. Hoping for some sunny days with great people!

After the BEO I'm going home for two days and then head over seas to Colorado and our house in Frisco! It's gonna be great to go back to our "second home" and shred great parks!

Our thoughts go out to our friend Kevin Pearce these days. Stay strong buddy! You are going to pull through this.

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KJERSTI!!!

Best wishes for 2010!!!

Hey,

Just wanna make a quick post. I'm headed back to Norway on Monday to have Christmas at home with the family. I'm really excited to see my friends, family and dog again, but I'm kind of sad to leave here as well. It's been great out here the past month, and I've gotten some good riding in.

I did the Dew Tour and the US Grand Prix already. The Grand Prix wasn't too good for me. I tweaked my ankle in practice and couldn't hold it together in the contest. It was still pretty sick to watch the other riders. A lot of good riders were throwing down out there. Really impressive!!

The Dew Tour qualifiers went rather well. Got through with a new run, and it felt nice to do a different run than I'm used to in a contest! Today we had semi finals and I can't say that it went as well as I hoped for. I didn't get through, so I'm gonna be watching the finals and cheer for my friends up there tomorrow! GO NORWAY!!!

I was pretty bummed at first, but it passed after spending some quality time with great friends. I'm really grateful that I have people out here backing me up no matter what!

Also, here's a shot from a snowboard magazine that just printed a portrait of me! www.friflyt.no
